TechFlow News, March 30: According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea’s Korea Communications Commission (KMCC) conducted a survey from September to November last year among 9,296 elementary and secondary school students and 7,521 adults aged 19–69. The results showed that 89.4% of adolescents and 87.6% of adults consider AI-driven cyberbullying a serious issue, primarily involving deepfake videos and the spread of disinformation.
The survey revealed that adolescents are most concerned about the low barrier to content generation using AI tools, whereas adults are more worried about the potential for persistent harm caused by AI-generated content. Regarding actual victimization, in 2025, 42.3% of adolescents reported experiencing cyberbullying (a decrease of 0.5 percentage points year-on-year), while the victimization rate among adults stood at 15.8% (an increase of 2.3 percentage points year-on-year). Strangers were identified as the primary perpetrators, with SMS and social media serving as the main channels of abuse.
