TechFlow News: On March 30, U.S. President Trump told the UK’s Financial Times in a Sunday interview that he wants to “seize Iran’s oil resources” and may even occupy Kharg Island—a key export hub. Meanwhile, the U.S. has deployed thousands of troops to the Middle East. Trump also compared this potential action to the situation in Venezuela. “Let me be honest with you,” Trump said, “the thing I most want to do is get oil from Iran—but some fools back home ask, ‘Why would you do that?’ Well, they’re just fools.” Trump added: “We might occupy Kharg Island—or we might not. We have many options. And it would mean staying on Kharg Island for some time.” (Jinshi)
