TechFlow News, March 28: According to Caixin Global, Bank of America strategist Michael Hartnett stated that investors should buy consumer-oriented stocks to bet on “policy panic” amid U.S. efforts to avert an economic recession. In a client report, the strategist said that once the Middle East conflict is resolved, U.S. President Donald Trump is likely to push forward measures to shield American consumers from the impact of economic slowdown and sustain his support among voters.
Hartnett stated: “We expect policy panic aimed at avoiding a recession.” He added that Trump will seek a “post-war pivot to address affordability concerns and declining approval ratings.”
