TechFlow News: On March 27, according to macro analyst Adam at Greeks.live, today marks the quarterly options expiry date, with large-scale expiries for both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) options.
The number of expiring BTC options stands at 68,000 contracts, with a notional value of approximately $1.3 billion; the maximum pain point is $74,000, and the put/call ratio (PCR) is 0.56. For ETH, 370,000 options contracts are expiring, with a notional value of roughly $2.12 billion; the maximum pain point is $2,250, and the PCR is also 0.56.
Approximately 36% of BTC and ETH options are set to expire. A significant volume of options was rolled over this week, peaking at over 40% of total open interest. Moreover, as this is a major expiry day, call options dominate, resulting in a low PCR of just 0.56.
