TechFlow News, March 25: According to Armani Ferrante, CEO of Backpack, disclosed on social media, the project’s Sybil attack review team is currently re-evaluating several more complex cases.
Earlier reports indicated that Armani, co-founder of Backpack, and the core team announced the immediate opening of an appeals channel and introduced “Rule #3”: users flagged as Sybils who operated no more than three accounts from a single device will, upon successful manual verification of their appeal, receive back over 50% of their points. Additionally, the Backpack team plans to launch a dedicated initiative within the coming days to repurchase tokens on the secondary market; the repurchased tokens will be allocated specifically as compensation to users meeting the above criteria.
