TechFlow News, March 4: According to CoinDesk, CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) Chairman Mike Selig discussed regulatory developments concerning cryptocurrency perpetual futures and prediction markets in a recent speech. He stated that the CFTC is working to launch “true perpetual futures” in the United States, with related policies expected to be announced within approximately one month—aiming to attract liquidity back to the U.S. and enhance investor protection.
Additionally, he noted that the CFTC will soon issue guidance for prediction markets, including publishing an Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to establish clear standards.
