TechFlow News, March 3: According to Cryptopolitan, Aave’s “Aave Will Win” proposal passed its initial vote on March 1, 2026, with a narrow margin of 52.58%. However, Marc Zeller, founder of the Aave Community Initiative (ACI), immediately challenged the voting outcome. The proposal requested up to $42.5 million in stablecoins and 75,000 AAVE tokens as compensation for Aave Labs redirecting all product revenue to the DAO treasury.
Zeller claimed that approximately 233,000 tokens originated from addresses associated with Aave Labs—including 111,000 tokens delegated by co-founder Stani Kulechov—and argued that, excluding these votes, the proposal would have failed to pass.
Meanwhile, BGD Labs—the primary technical contributor to Aave V3—has announced it will terminate its collaboration with AaveDAO effective April 1, citing concerns over centralization within Aave Labs and structural asymmetries in the organization.
