TechFlow News: On March 2, multiple X platform crypto community users reported having their accounts suspended after posting content suspected of being advertisements. The primary reason cited was that posts promoting projects with referral links are automatically flagged as ads by X. However, users found that removing the offending posts allowed them to regain account access. According to analysis from the crypto community, all sponsored posts must now either use X’s official “Paid Partnership” label or clearly state “Ad / Sponsored by XXX” at the beginning—disclosures must be immediately visible, and sponsored content must be explicitly labeled; otherwise, such posts risk deletion or account suspension. Previously, Nikita Bier, X’s Product Lead and Solana Advisor, clarified that the “Paid Partnership” feature is not specifically intended for prediction markets but rather serves to label commercial promotional content, thereby enhancing transparency with followers and clearly distinguishing paid collaborations from organic content.
