TechFlow News: On February 27, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced a strategic partnership with OpenAI and confirmed Amazon’s investment in the company. Under the agreement, Amazon will provide OpenAI with a stateful runtime environment via Amazon Bedrock and become OpenAI Frontier’s exclusive third-party cloud distribution provider. OpenAI will also significantly adopt Amazon’s Trainium chips, which deliver 30–40% better price-performance than comparable GPUs. Jassy stated that OpenAI possesses an exceptional team, products, and vision, and Amazon believes this investment will yield long-term returns for the company.
