TechFlow reports that on February 26, in response to SBF’s post on X praising the CLARITY Act as a historic milestone for cryptocurrency development and a major achievement for Trump, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated that SBF is seeking clemency without realizing the CLARITY Act would subject him to a prison sentence far exceeding 25 years. She emphasized that her legislative proposal is “fundamentally different” from the bill SBF attempted to purchase from Congress in 2022 and explicitly declared, “We neither need nor want SBF’s support.”
