TechFlow News: On February 26, Bitfinex Securities announced an update to its account architecture, enabling users to trade tokenized securities directly from their main accounts without needing to set up a separate securities sub-account. Under the new account structure, security tokens are natively supported on both main accounts and standard trading sub-accounts. Previously, new users had to first create a dedicated Bitfinex Securities sub-account before trading could begin; existing securities sub-accounts will be converted into standard trading sub-accounts while retaining original asset segregation, login credentials, two-factor authentication (2FA) settings, and withdrawal permissions. After the update, users can freely transfer security tokens between sub-accounts and the main account, and such assets will appear alongside other digital assets in the exchange’s wallet.
