TechFlow News: On February 26, blockchain security firm BlockSec detected a mimicry attack targeting the FOOMCASH contracts on both Base and Ethereum. The attack exploited the same vulnerability previously identified in Veil Cash—specifically, attackers forged zkSNARK proofs due to an incorrect verification key configuration. As a result, the contracts suffered cumulative losses of approximately $2.26 million. A single attack transaction on Base caused roughly $427,000 in losses, while the approximately $1.83 million in related transactions on Ethereum are suspected to be white-hat rescue operations.
