TechFlow News, February 26: According to Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake, the Ethereum Foundation has released a draft roadmap named “Strawmap,” outlining planned upgrades to the Ethereum L1 protocol over the coming years.
The roadmap outlines five core objectives: faster L1 (sub-second finality), 1 gigagas/sec throughput, high-throughput L2s based on data availability sampling, quantum-resistant cryptography, and native privacy-preserving transfers.
The roadmap schedules seven network forks through 2029—roughly one every six months. Strawmap is a living document and will be updated regularly based on community feedback, research progress, and governance developments.
