TechFlow reports that on February 24, Coinbase opened its stock trading functionality to all U.S. users, enabling customers to trade stocks and ETFs five days a week, 24 hours a day. The platform offers commission-free trading and supports fractional share purchases, with a minimum investment of $1. Users can fund their trading accounts using USD and USDC; Coinbase One members can also earn rewards based on their USDC trading balances.
As part of this new offering, Coinbase has partnered with Yahoo Finance, allowing users to seamlessly transition from Yahoo Finance’s asset research pages directly to Coinbase to execute trades. This integration enables traders to discover and track assets within the Yahoo Finance interface and complete transactions instantly. The company stated that it will initially offer widely traded stocks and plans to expand its 24/5 trading availability to additional stocks over the coming months. Furthermore, Coinbase intends to broaden its range of perpetual stock products this spring, enabling traders outside the U.S. to gain round-the-clock exposure to U.S. equities. (Jinshi)
