TechFlow News: On February 20, according to JINSHI Data, Nick Timiraos—the so-called “Fed whisperer”—stated that forecasts indicate the U.S. December PCE inflation (both core and headline) rose 0.37% month-on-month (annualized rate of 4.5%). This would push the core PCE index’s annual rate up to 3.0%, the highest level since February 2025. The headline PCE annual rate is projected at 2.9%, the highest since March 2024.
