TechFlow News, February 18: According to Reuters, AI agent startup Temporal has announced a $300 million Series D funding round, valuing the company at $5 billion. The round was led by a16z, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners and Sapphire Ventures, as well as existing investors including Sequoia Capital.
The company stated that this funding round is not aimed at “chasing a moment in AI,” but rather at building a platform to address reliability challenges commonly encountered by AI agents in complex, long-running workflows. Current users include AI companies such as OpenAI, as well as Snap, Netflix, and JPMorgan Chase.
