TechFlow News: According to Hong Kong 01, on January 31, a robbery occurred near a money exchange shop on Des Voeux Road Central in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. A total of JPY 58 million was stolen. Hong Kong police announced that the case has been solved. The two suspects—Japanese nationals aged 27 and 51—were arrested at Hong Kong International Airport. Both worked for a Japanese money exchange company. They had intended to exchange JPY 190 million (approximately HKD 5.88 million). During the exchange, one suspect snatched the other’s backpack containing JPY 58 million. Hong Kong police quickly identified the suspects using surveillance footage and successfully apprehended both Japanese nationals—the perpetrator and his accomplice.
