TechFlow news, January 18 — Former U.S. President Donald Trump lashed out at JPMorgan Chase and its CEO Jamie Dimon on Saturday, threatening to sue the banking giant over claims that it "terminated his banking services" following the January 6 Capitol riot in 2021.
Trump made the remarks in a post responding to a media report stating that several months ago, he had jokingly suggested to Dimon—whose understanding it was as a joke—that Dimon should become chairman of the Federal Reserve.
"That conversation never took place," Trump wrote. "In fact, I will be suing JPMorgan in the next two weeks because they wrongfully and improperly terminated my banking services after the January 6 protest."
Trump did not provide further details.
