TechFlow reports, on January 10, Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko announced that he will shift his focus from L1 development to exploring cutting-edge use cases for Ethereum in the coming months. Tim stated that while the Ethereum protocol is approaching its "endgame," we are only beginning to explore what can be achieved with a permissionless, scalable, cryptoeconomically secure, and low-cost verifiable world computer.
Tim emphasized that ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities for the AllCoreDevs meetings and the Ethereum Foundation (EF) is his top priority in the short term. He will remain at the Ethereum Foundation as a protocol advisor, collaborating with EF and cluster leadership. Ansgar has agreed to continue serving as chair of ACDE. Tim noted that 2026 will be a pivotal year for Ethereum across multiple levels, and he is excited to continue contributing.
