The organization stated that Zcash, as a decentralized open-source protocol, is not controlled by any single contributor, team, or organization. Its structure ensures that changes within any single organization will not affect the integrity or continuity of the Zcash blockchain, and the network will continue to operate normally. The Zcash network is independent of any single organization, board, or corporate entity and will continue to run smoothly and securely. As the protocol steward, the Zcash Foundation will maintain and support the development of the Zcash protocol, fund independent research and engineering, support the decentralization of infrastructure and governance, and remain transparent, ongoing, and collaborative with all ecosystem participants.
