TechFlow news, January 5th, according to the "Jingfa Wangshi" WeChat public account, the Beijing High People's Court released five typical cases of legally punishing telecom network fraud. Among them, a cross-border telecom network fraud case involving virtual currency investment was disclosed. The defendants, in Beijing's Chaoyang District, used overseas chat software to carry out fraud by inviting others to purchase virtual currency and invest in designated platforms, and transferred the fraud proceeds through virtual currency. The police found that the gang's total fraud amount exceeded 900,000 US dollars (equivalent to over 5 million RMB). The court accurately determined the fraud amount based on objective evidence such as the company's salary performance records involved in the case, and sentenced Liu Moufang to twelve years in prison and a fine for the crime of fraud.
