TechFlow, Dec 28 — According to DL News, Sberbank, Russia's largest bank, has issued the country's first loan to a bitcoin mining company, Intelion Data, using cryptocurrency as collateral. The transaction was described as a "pilot," with details including loan amount, term, and specific cryptocurrency used undisclosed. Sberbank indicated it may issue similar loans in the future and stated that its self-developed cryptocurrency custody solution, Rutoken, was used during the lending process to ensure asset security throughout the loan period.
