TechFlow news, December 26 — According to Forbes, the world's top ten billionaires saw their combined net worth increase by over $730 billion in 2025. Elon Musk led with a gain of $333.2 billion, becoming the first person globally to surpass a net worth of $700 billion, reaching a total of $754.4 billion. Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin ranked second and third, gaining $98.7 billion and $86.1 billion respectively.
Notably, six of the top ten gainers are from the United States, accounting for more than 85% of the wealth growth, driven primarily by investment surges in artificial intelligence. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang gained $42.3 billion due to soaring demand for AI chips, Oracle founder Larry Ellison added $40.6 billion, Google co-founders Page and Brin benefited from the success of the Gemini 3 model, and Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg gained $24.3 billion from AI investments.
In addition, Spain's retail giant Inditex founder Amancio Ortega gained $28.7 billion, Mexican mining tycoon Alberto Baillères gained $25.6 billion due to rising copper prices, Japan's SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son gained $25.4 billion through investments in AI infrastructure, and Mexican telecom magnate Carlos Slim gained $24.3 billion. The global billionaire population, numbering over 3,100 individuals, increased their collective wealth by $3.6 trillion in 2025, bringing the total to $18.7 trillion.
