TechFlow news, December 22 — According to The Block, Aave Labs recently unilaterally advanced a proposal regarding brand asset ownership to the Snapshot voting stage, an action viewed by the community as a "hostile takeover" and sparking strong protests. The original author of the proposal and former Aave CTO, Ernesto Boado, stated that the proposal was submitted without his consent and called the move "a violation of all trust principles with the community." Several community representatives criticized the action for bypassing normal governance procedures, especially noting that pushing the vote during the holiday season could lead to lower participation. Amid the controversy, the AAVE token price dropped over 10% within 24 hours.
