TechFlow news, December 18 — According to Business Insider, Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research, has been transferred from prison to an open correctional facility.
Ellison was sentenced to two years in prison in November 2024 for defrauding FTX investors but served only 11 months before the transfer in October 2025. She remains under supervision and is currently under home confinement or residing in a rehabilitation facility.
Under the latest arrangement, Ellison is now scheduled to be released in February 2026, nine months earlier than her original sentence.
