TechFlow news, December 17 — According to the Solana Foundation on X, it has partnered with post-quantum security firm Project Eleven to advance post-quantum security for the Solana network. As part of the collaboration, Project Eleven has conducted a comprehensive quantum threat assessment of the Solana ecosystem, covering core protocols, user wallets, validator security, and long-term cryptographic assumptions. They have also successfully prototyped and deployed a Solana testnet using post-quantum digital signatures, demonstrating the feasibility and scalability of end-to-end quantum-resistant transactions in real-world conditions.
Matt Sorg, Technical Vice President at Solana Foundation, stated that this initiative aims to ensure Solana remains secure for decades to come and aligns with this year's roadmap, which includes launching a second client and a next-generation consensus mechanism. Project Eleven CEO Alex Pruden said Solana’s proactive investment and action before quantum computing becomes an imminent threat demonstrate that achieving post-quantum security with existing technology is feasible.
