TechFlow news, on December 12, according to Decrypt, Carl Rinsch, director of "47 Ronin," was found guilty on seven counts including wire fraud, money laundering, and illicit financial transactions for defrauding Netflix of $11 million. Rinsch had been commissioned to produce the sci-fi series "Conquest," but transferred additional production funds to his personal accounts for cryptocurrency speculation and purchasing luxury items, including multiple Rolls-Royces, Ferraris, high-end furniture, and luxury watches. Netflix has canceled the project and written off its $55 million investment. Rinsch faces up to 90 years in prison and will be formally sentenced on April 17, 2026.
