TechFlow news, December 4 — The Ethereum Foundation issued an announcement on December 4, 2025, warning users of an issue affecting the Prysm consensus client on the mainnet. Affected users are required to reconfigure their consensus layer (CL) nodes according to official instructions. The Prysm team has confirmed the issue and provided a quick fix: users only need to add a specific flag to the beacon node, which applies to version v7.0.0.
The Ethereum Foundation emphasized that users running other clients are unaffected by this issue and do not need to take any action.
