TechFlow news, December 4 — Bitget Wallet has launched its Social Login feature, allowing users to create and access self-custody wallets via Google, Apple ID, or email, without needing to record or store recovery phrases.
The feature is built on TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) technology, where private keys are generated, encrypted, and used within a hardware-isolated environment and cannot be viewed, copied, or exported. Wallet setup takes only seconds, and users can regain access by logging in again when switching devices, with all signing operations completed within the TEE.
According to Bitget Wallet, this solution is based on AWS Nitro Enclaves and differs from approaches relying on multi-party computation by keeping all critical operations on the local device, simplifying recovery while reducing system complexity. While social login attempts have been made in the industry before, solutions combining TEE hardware isolation with large-scale mobile deployment remain rare.
