TechFlow, December 2 — According to the WSJ, although the selection process for the next Federal Reserve chair is still ongoing, Trump has nearly secured his long-time advisor and current Director of the National Economic Council, Kevin Hassett. Sources say Hassett holds a clear lead among the final five candidates due to his strong loyalty to Trump and market credibility. Hassett has repeatedly joined Trump this year in harshly criticizing the Fed, accusing it of being "partisan" and "too slow to cut interest rates." Fed Chair Powell's term ends in May next year.
