TechFlow news, November 30 — According to CoinDesk, payment company Truther announced a collaboration with Visa to launch a "non-custodial" USDT Visa card. The card enables users to spend USDT stored directly in their own wallets—without prior top-ups or reliance on any third-party custody. During transactions, Truther instantly deducts the corresponding amount of USDT from the user's self-custody wallet for real-time settlement. For example, when spending 30 euros at a hotel, an equivalent amount of USDT is deducted directly. The card charges approximately 2% for currency conversion; Brazilian users are also exempt from the typically applicable IOF tax.
Truther stated that El Salvador will be the launch market. Its long-term plan includes expanding services to countries such as Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Russia, and integrating more local stablecoins into its self-custody wallet.
