TechFlow news, November 27 — According to DL News, South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb will suspend its Tether Market service on November 28. The service, launched on September 22, allowed users to trade Bitcoin and nine major altcoins using USDT, and was currently still in testing phase.
Reportedly, pressure from South Korea's financial regulators prompted Bithumb's decision to pause the service. The service involved an order book sharing agreement with Australian cryptocurrency exchange Stellar, and regulators expressed concerns that such cross-border trading integration could increase risks of money laundering and personal data breaches.
