TechFlow news, November 26 — According to analyst Alex, Visa dominates the crypto card issuance sector with a monthly transaction volume of $365 million.
Based on an analysis of on-chain transfer volumes from 13 crypto card projects, Visa is used by 10 of them, while Mastercard is used by only 3. Rain Card, RedotPay, and Etherfi Cash are the main drivers behind Visa's transfer volume growth, contributing $320 million in transaction volume.
The analysis suggests that crypto card projects prefer Visa due to easier onboarding, lower operating costs, and reduced compliance risks. In contrast, Mastercard, while reliable, imposes stricter requirements and higher costs.
