TechFlow news, on November 25, according to Dlnews, police in St. Petersburg, Russia arrested a man who attempted to rob a cryptocurrency exchange by detonating replica hand grenades.
On November 22, the 21-year-old unemployed man entered the exchange office on Khersonskaya Street in downtown St. Petersburg, detonated two replica hand grenades and set off smoke bombs, then demanded that staff transfer all of the exchange's cryptocurrency assets into his wallet.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast stated that the suspect was apprehended at the scene, with two unexploded replica hand grenades found on his person. Police have filed charges against him under Article 162 of the Russian Criminal Code (robbery).
