TechFlow news, November 25 — According to Caixin, with eight months still remaining before the deadline set by the executive order, questions have emerged regarding the current status and operational methods of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), formerly led by billionaire Musk.
On November 23 local time, Reuters exclusively reported that Scott Kupor, director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), stated in an early November interview that the Department of Government Efficiency had "ceased to exist" and added that it was no longer a "centralized entity." Most of the department's functions will be transferred to the OPM.
However, this morning, the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) posted on X, claiming that Reuters' report about its dissolution is fake news. The department said it will resume its regular Friday updates in a few days.
