TechFlow, November 22 — According to Jinshi Data, as the U.S. Supreme Court may overturn a key tariff authorization, the Trump administration is secretly preparing contingency plans to restore tariffs as soon as possible. U.S. officials familiar with the matter revealed that the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative have studied alternative options in case of an adverse ruling, including initiating tariffs under Section 301 and Section 122 of the Trade Act—both provisions grant the president unilateral authority to impose tariffs.
