TechFlow, November 16 — Simon Gerovich, CEO of Metaplanet, stated on social media that Bitcoin ETFs are not a headwind for Metaplanet.
Simon Gerovich explained that Bitcoin ETFs offer a fixed Bitcoin exposure, meaning the amount of BTC held does not grow unless investors actively add more capital. In contrast, Metaplanet is a revenue- and profit-generating business whose core strategy involves continuously increasing its Bitcoin holdings and enhancing Bitcoin exposure per share.
He emphasized that ETFs represent static exposure, while Metaplanet offers expanding exposure rooted in its business operations. The two serve different roles, and the existence of ETFs does not diminish Metaplanet's advantages.
