TechFlow news, on November 16, in response to recent false allegations claiming "OKX Wallet has a backdoor," OKX CEO Star posted on X stating, "The private key module and all related smart contracts of OKX Wallet are fully open source. Multiple companies across the industry—including competitors—use our open-source code, reflecting our long-term commitment to transparency and security. As for non-private-key modules, they remain closed source as these components constitute commercial software. Users are free to choose whether or not to use OKX Wallet based on their own needs and preferences."
He further noted that OKX Wallet is also one of the earliest MPC no-private-key wallet providers in the industry. Due to limitations in market adoption, user experience, and DApp support with earlier versions of MPC products, we have decided to completely decommission the legacy MPC wallet and launched a more advanced, superior-experience next-generation no-private-key wallet—CeDeFi Wallet.
