TechFlow reported on November 13 that, according to Decrypt, Thailand's Cybercrime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) collaborated with the FBI to successfully recover over $432,000 (approximately 14 million Thai baht) in stolen cryptocurrency from an Eastern European hacker hiding in Phuket. During the operation, codenamed "Operation 293," authorities have already returned $320,000 to Thai victims. CCIB Director Suraphon Prempoot revealed that the hacker used malware to steal authentication keys and then converted the funds into USDT and Bitcoin, dispersing them across multiple digital wallets.
