TechFlow news, on November 13, a 78-year-old South Korean individual investor surnamed Kim donated one bitcoin, worth approximately 157 million Korean won, to Seoul National University Hospital for its development fund. This marks the first time the hospital has received a donation in digital assets. Mr. Kim stated that bitcoin is a new type of donation tool aligned with the times, and he hopes this act will promote the spread of a new sharing culture. It is reported that he previously donated one bitcoin each to the Korean Red Cross and the Community Chest of Korea, and had also donated 900 million Korean won to Seoul National University Hospital, bringing his total donations to over one billion Korean won. Seoul National University Hospital stated it will improve its digital asset donation reception procedures and use the funds for education, research, medical care, and other areas.
