TechFlow, November 12 — According to ChainWire, Ontology announced that its community has unanimously approved the ONG token economics adjustment proposal. The proposal reduces the total supply cap of ONG from 1 billion to 800 million and permanently locks assets equivalent in value to 100 million ONG. After the adjustment, the release period will be extended to 19 years, maintaining a constant emission rate of 1 ONG per second, with 80% allocated to ONT staking rewards. This adjustment aims to enhance long-term network sustainability and value stability. The updates will be implemented with Mainnet v3.0.0 on December 1, 2025. Users and stakers do not need to take any action.
