TechFlow news, November 6 — According to South Korea's News1, the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of South Korea's Financial Services Commission has fined Dunamu, operator of cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, 35.2 billion KRW (approximately 264 million USD), citing violations of the Act on Specific Financial Information. The violations include conducting transactions with unregistered virtual asset service providers, failing to perform customer due diligence, failing to implement transaction restrictions, and failing to report suspicious transactions. Dunamu stated it accepts the decision.
