TechFlow news, November 2 — According to Cointelegraph, Akbar Hasan Beklou, CEO of Tehran Province Electricity Distribution Company, said that thanks to substantial electricity subsidies, Iran has become the world's fourth-largest cryptocurrency mining hub, but also a "paradise for illegal miners." It is reported that Iran's cryptocurrency mining industry is facing a widespread crisis of illegal mining, with over 95% of the country's 427,000 active mining devices operating without authorization, consuming more than 1,400 megawatts of electricity, placing immense pressure on the power grid and threatening the stability of electricity supply.
