TechFlow news, October 30 — According to Bloomberg, the European Central Bank (ECB) will continue laying the groundwork for the digital euro after concluding its current preparation phase this month, with plans to launch the digital currency in four years.
Officials will decide during this week's meeting in Florence, Italy, to advance preparatory work, according to people familiar with the matter. The sources said the ECB aims to issue the digital euro by 2029, provided the necessary legal framework is in place by then.
