TechFlow, on October 27, according to Jinshi Data, the Chinese and U.S. economic and trade teams concluded a two-day consultation in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Reuters said this was the fifth face-to-face consultation between the two sides since May this year. After the talks, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent told American media that after two days of discussions in Kuala Lumpur, both sides reached a "very substantial framework agreement," and the U.S. is "no longer considering" imposing an additional 100% tariff on China.
