TechFlow, October 24 — According to Jinshi Data, Friday's inflation report is expected to provide data on U.S. price trends. Economists forecast that the September CPI could register its fastest rise in 16 months. A survey indicates that the U.S. CPI for September is projected to increase 3.1% year-on-year, the highest level since reaching 3.3% in May 2024. In a research report released Thursday, Parthenon-EY chief economist Gregory Daco stated: "The upcoming U.S. September CPI data will confirm renewed acceleration in inflation, with notable price momentum expected across both goods and services. The impact of tariffs is becoming increasingly evident, though their transmission remains slow and uneven."
