TechFlow news, October 18 — According to Fortune, Tempo, a blockchain startup backed by Stripe, has raised $500 million in a Series A round at a valuation of approximately $5 billion. The round was led by Thrive Capital (Joshua Kushner) and Greenoaks, with participation from Sequoia, Ribbit Capital, SV Angel, and others. Developed jointly by Stripe and Paradigm, Tempo focuses on stablecoin payment infrastructure and partners with OpenAI, Shopify, and Visa, aiming to establish the U.S. dollar stablecoin as a new foundational network for global payments.
