TechFlow news, October 12 — Previously, on-chain analyst Eye (@eyeonchains) posted on X claiming that a HyperLiquid whale who "sold over $4.23 billion worth of BTC to rotate into ETH" might be linked to Garrett Jin, former executive of an exchange. In response, CZ posted on X: "It's still uncertain whether this is true or accurate—hope someone can verify it."
It was reported that some community members have referred to Garrett Jin as one of the "culprits behind the 1011 crash." According to prior information, this whale sold over 35,000 BTC to rotate into ETH in August and September this year, while also placing short positions. As of now, Garrett Jin still holds 46,295 BTC across multiple wallet addresses, valued at $5.19 billion.
