TechFlow, October 10 — According to Macau Daily News, the Monetary Authority of Macao stated that a prototype system for the "Digital Pataca" has been developed and is expected to complete the first phase of its research and development by the end of this year. Ye Guiping, Director of the Macao Social and Economic Development Research Center at City University of Macao, said that given Macao's role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, integration between the Digital Pataca platform and mainland platforms is inevitable.
