TechFlow news, October 6 — DeFiLlama co-founder 0xngmi issued a detailed response regarding the controversy over delisting the Aster protocol from trading volume rankings.
0xngmi stated that Aster was delisted due to reporting inaccurate data, which could mislead users' investment decisions. The team emphasized that it has never charged any fees for listing or delisting projects, and the individual holds no positions in HYPE or ASTER tokens.
Regarding the timing of the delisting, 0xngmi explained that the recent significant surge in Aster's trading volume drew attention, prompting an investigation by the team, which identified issues and led to immediate action. The team had previously delisted perpetual DEXs such as Lighter due to trading volume data concerns.
On the decision to publicly announce the delisting, 0xngmi said transparency is essential so users understand the reasons behind data changes. The team stressed that maintaining data integrity is a core principle and user trust is paramount.
